This is available to children up to three years of age. Each state’s program is somewhat different, but it is basically an evaluation of your child with regard to developmental and speech measurement. If your child is deficient, your state program prepares a plan for the required therapy to bring your child to the age-appropriate level. Again, each state’s program is somewhat different and you will need to learn about the specific details to make an informed decision. Generally, the cost is considerably less than if you were to seek this treatment on your own. After turning three years old, your school system should evaluate and provide the program required to help your child achieve age-appropriate skills.
